Jordan's passion for performing began at a very young age; competing in numerous talent competitions, participating in Musical Theater, and performing at various functions and events. It was in those early years of performing that Jordan realized his dreams of becoming a professional entertainer, and learned the value of hard-work and dedication..

In 2003, as a High School senior, Jordan achieved national recognition in the popular television show, “American Idol”. Seventy-five thousand singers from across the nation auditioned, and Jordan was selected as a Top 32 semi-finalist in Season Two.   Earning him the recognition as the first singer from Hawaii and first Asian-American to be featured on the show.

Jordan’s popularity skyrocketed since his appearance on, "American Idol."  He has performed in various events and concerts in Hawaii and around the nation.  In 2005, Jordan released his first full-length CD featuring ten songs in a variety of styles.  His other musical recordings include two songs for a Christmas Compilation for a Philippines' Children’s Orphanage, and on legendary producer, Tom Moffatt's "Legacy 2 Compilation CD".

In 2006, Jordan was invited to play the leading role of, “Lun Tha”, in The Hawaii Opera Theatre’s production of “The King and I”, with Richard Chamberlain in the role of The King.

This multi-talented performer has been featured on the covers of numerous magazines and publications. He has been interviewed on international television shows like, “Balitang America” and “Probe Team”, and national shows like “Stir T.V.”.  Local shows include “Emme’s Island Moments”, “American Idol” specials, “Dining Out with Chai”, “Living Local with the Baraquios” and more.

Jordan's talents also include voice-over work.  In 2010, he provided the lead voice-over for a puppet character in the musical short film, “The Green Tie Affair”.  The film premiered at the 2010 Hawaii International Film Festival.  Jordan also narrated the children’s audio book, “Penelope & Patches, Adventures on the High Sea”, which is available for download on Amazon and iTunes..

In 2012, Jordan was invited to perform nightly with Philippine Superstar, Lani Misalucha, as her Special Guest performer in the “Lani Misalucha Show”, at the Magic of Polynesia Showroom in Waikiki.  Jordan was also one of four performers to headline, “Return to Paradise”, a nightly variety show in Waikiki.  The following year, Jordan was the only featured singer in, "Aloha Live", a nightly cirque-type dinner show in Waikiki.

Camera Ready

In addition to singing, Jordan has branched out into on-camera hosting and acting. He has had principal roles in commercials for 'Subway', 'Hawaiian Telcom', 'Panasonic', and in 2016 appeared as a principal role in the CBS series, 'Hawaii Five-O'.  Jordan was also selected as the Spokesperson for the “Storm Water Management Program” sponsored by the Hawaii State Department of Transportation, which featured Jordan in television and radio PSA’s. 

 

In 2007, he co-hosted a televised dance competition called, “Destination: Groove Dance Hawaii”, on KHNL-8 (NBC) with Yasmin Dar (Professional Actress/Model) for twelve episodes.  In 2011, he co-hosted six episodes of, “Ohana Road”, a televised automotive show.  

That same year, Jordan was selected to be the KHON2 FOX VIP and presented a weekly entertainment segment on the KHON2 Morning News Show.  As the KHON2 FOX VIP, Jordan conducted interviews on the red carpet of the American Country Awards in Las Vegas, Glee 3D Concert Premiere in Las Vegas and has interviewed Kelly Ripa while she filmed her show, “LIVE! With Kelly” in Hawaii.

Jordan's on-camera experience also include, hosting three episodes of 'Cool Corona Concert Series', a televised music concert and hosting, 'Cook Like A Masterchef Competition', a televised cooking competition.

 

For twelve years, Jordan presented, "Idol Chatter", a live weekly commentary and review segment about "American Idol "on the KHON2 Morning News Show, "Wake Up 2day".

In 2015, Jordan joined Hawaii's only-then lifestyle show, 'Living808', and presented a weekly live segment called, "808 Update", highlighting upcoming events and happenings around Hawaii.

Sharing News

With an Associate Degree from Honolulu Community College and a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Hawaii Manoa, Jordan continues to expand his knowledge.  In January 2016, Jordan became a reporter and weekend weather anchor at KITV4 Island News in Honolulu.  Jordan covered a variety of topics from breaking news, natural disasters, hurricanes, community interest, and entertainment. Jordan's natural curiosity and his commitment to the community inspired him to pursue a career in broadcast television.  

In 2018, Jordan became the weekend morning news anchor for, "Good Morning Hawaii", anchoring Hawaii’s only two-hour weekend morning newscast.  Through his warm delivery and confident approach, he earned the trust and viewership of his audience and has proven himself as a credible news anchor.

In January 2019, Jordan made the jump to the Top 20 news market - Sacramento, California.  He spent five years as an anchor/reporter for Good Day Sacramento, and as a weather anchor for CBS13 Sacramento.  While in California, Jordan was sent home to Hawaii to cover the deadly fires that devastated Lahaina, Maui. 

After building a name for himself in California, Jordan made the move across the country to Miami, Florida. He is currently working at the most watched news station in South Florida, WSVN Channel 7 News.  Jordan is the weekend morning news anchor and morning news reporter.
